1. Who runs the apps

Four strings is the brand under which we publish the apps. In these terms, “we” means the operator and “you” means you as the user.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to the following apps and their websites:

Downloads and payments are also governed by the Google Play Terms of Service, which you accepted with Google. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy on each app’s website.

3. How the contract is formed

• By installing an app from Google Play you enter into a contract with us for its use under these terms. Basic use is free.
• You enter into a paid contract by confirming a purchase in Google Play. You see the price before you confirm, and Google emails you the receipt.
• The contract is concluded in Czech; this English text is a translation. You can save or print these terms. Every version shows the date from which it applies.
• Purchases should be made by an adult, or by a child only with a parent’s consent.

4. Prices, free trials and payment

• Google Play always shows the current price, in your country’s currency, before you confirm a purchase. Prices on our websites are for guidance only.
• Payments are processed by Google Play. We never see your card or other payment details.
• Free trials cost nothing and do not require a payment card. When a trial ends, nothing is charged automatically; the paid features are simply locked until you buy them.
• A one-time purchase is permanent and includes future app updates. It is linked to your Google account, so you can restore it after reinstalling or on a new phone.
• A promo code or coupon from us unlocks an app for free under the conditions stated with the code.

Don’t Bug Dad subscription

• It renews automatically every month until you cancel it.
• You can cancel it at any time in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions. The paid month runs to its end and the next one is not charged. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
• When the subscription ends, supervision of the child’s phone is paused. No data is deleted, and everything resumes once you pay. You can delete the account and all data in the app at any time.
• Google Play will notify you in advance of any change to the subscription price, under its own rules. If you do not agree, cancel the subscription.

5. Withdrawal and refunds

• As a consumer, you can withdraw from a contract concluded online within 14 days without giving a reason.
• A one-time purchase (unlocking the full version) is digital content. If, when purchasing, you agreed to immediate access and acknowledged that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal, you can no longer withdraw.
• For the Don’t Bug Dad subscription, you can withdraw within 14 days of concluding the contract under the conditions set by law.
• Within 48 hours of a purchase you can also request a refund directly from Google Play under its rules. After a refund, the paid features may be locked again.

Send your withdrawal by email to info@eadg.cz. Include your name, the email of your Google account, the app, the purchase date and the order number from Google’s email (it starts with GPA.). You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. Any money you are entitled to after withdrawing will be refunded within 14 days of receiving your notice, by the same method you used to pay.

6. When an app does not work

• We are responsible for making sure each app matches its description on its website and in Google Play and works as is usual for such an app. You have statutory rights in case of defects under the Czech Civil Code.
• Report a defect to the app’s email or to info@eadg.cz: what does not work, your phone model, Android version and, if possible, a screenshot.
• We will confirm your complaint and resolve it within 30 days at the latest. We will preferably fix the defect with an update. If that is not possible or does not succeed within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a reasonable discount or a refund.
• We release the updates an app needs to keep working as it should. Please install them. We are not responsible for a defect that an update would have prevented, provided we informed you about it.

7. What the apps promise and what they do not

We believe in our apps. We test them carefully and do everything we can to make them work reliably. They are still software on a phone we do not control, so we cannot guarantee that they will always work without error.

In particular, we cannot influence:

• your phone’s settings, battery saving and disabled permissions,
• changes the phone manufacturer makes to Android, and system updates,
• outages of the internet and of services the apps rely on: Google Play, Google Firebase, OpenHolidays, Loxone, school calendars.

Some apps store data only on your phone. If you do not want to lose it, back it up.

Notes on individual apps

Zbroják 2026+ and Vůdce malého plavidla

These are study aids. We take the questions from the official question sets of the Czech Ministry of the Interior and the State Navigation Administration. Where they differ from the official wording, the official wording prevails. The authorities may change the questions at any time, and we update the app as soon as possible. Passing the exam depends on you; the app does not guarantee it. If you find a mistake in a question, please let us know.

Odd/Even Alarm Clock

The alarm relies on the phone’s system. It takes public holidays and school holidays from a public service and from the school calendar you enter, and these may contain errors. If you must not oversleep, set a second alarm to be safe.

Don’t Bug Dad

It helps you manage screen time, but it does not replace a parent’s supervision and conversation with the child. What the app cannot prevent is described openly on its website in the section Where the protection ends. You may install the child part only on the phone of a child you are responsible for. Tracking another person without their knowledge is prohibited.

Find Her Phone

It can ring a phone only if that phone is switched on, charged and connected to the internet. We cannot guarantee that a lost phone will be found.

Cadence – Shot Timer

It is a training timer. You are responsible for handling firearms safely and for complying with the law and the rules of the range. Before dry-fire practice, always check that the firearm is unloaded, as the app reminds you. Measured times are indicative and do not replace official timing at competitions.

Limitation of liability

• We are not liable for indirect damage or lost profit, such as a missed appointment, a failed exam or a phone that was not found.
• If we are nevertheless liable for any damage, compensation is limited to the amount you paid for the app concerned; for a subscription, to the amount paid in the last 12 months.
• This limitation does not apply where the law does not allow it, in particular to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. It does not affect your statutory rights in case of defects.

8. Rules of use

• You may use the apps for yourself and your family on your own devices.
• You must not circumvent payment or the free trial, interfere with the apps’ code, copy or distribute their content, disrupt their servers, or misuse them to harass or track other people.
• The apps and their content are protected by copyright. The official wording of the exam questions remains freely available from the authorities that publish it.

9. Termination and changes

• You can stop using an app at any time by uninstalling it. For Don’t Bug Dad and Find Her Phone, which keep family data on a server, also delete your account or remove the phone from the family before uninstalling; the privacy policy explains how. Cancel any subscription in Google Play.
• If someone seriously misuses an app, for example to track another person, we may block their account.
• If we were to discontinue an app, we will announce it on its website at least 30 days in advance. The subscription will then stop being charged. Apps that do not need our server will keep working for as long as the phone’s system supports them.
• We will publish amended terms on this page with a new effective date. We will announce significant changes in advance on the app’s website or in the release notes. Changes apply to the future, and purchases you already have remain valid. If you do not agree with a change, you can stop using the app and cancel your subscription.

10. Disputes, supervision and governing law

• If you are not satisfied with something, please write to us first. We will be glad to sort it out.
• A consumer dispute can also be resolved out of court by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Praha 2, adr.coi.cz.
• Compliance is supervised by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, the trade licensing office (Municipal District Office Prague 11) and, for personal data, the Office for Personal Data Protection.
• The contract is governed by Czech law. If you are a consumer from another country, you keep the protection your country’s law gives you.
• The Czech version is binding. This English version is a translation.
